Alzheimer’s disease and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) are two neurological severe conditions, each with its distinct clinical characteristics, risk factors, and societal impacts. Alzheimer’s is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder primarily affecting memory, cognition, and behavior, while subarachnoid hemorrhage is a sudden, severe brain bleed, often resulting from ruptured aneurysms. Although these two conditions may appear unrelated at first glance, emerging research, including my own, has begun to reveal potential intersections in their underlying mechanisms, which could reshape our understanding of neurodegeneration, brain trauma, and vascular health.

Over the past few years, I have delved deeply into these conditions, investigating the ways they might influence each other, their mutual risk factors, and how they might coexist in patients.
